Never Bored in March

March is a beautiful time of year in South Florida. We enjoyed many outside activities, and even a few insdoor ones. No problem keeping busy over here!

Beach Day - South Beach in Boca Raton - second time's the charm!

Golf Day - Our third lesson ended with Wayne injuring his back. So sad! However, with time and some advice from our favorite physical therapist, the pain subsided and golf returned to the activity rotation.

Funeral Day - One of the nice results from a year of pandemic is that many funerals are now broadcast over the internet. So, even though we were unable to travel the 2500 miles to Utah, we were still able to view Wayne's Uncle Gary's funeral. It was great hearing the stories from his life.

Hike Day - We really enjoy visiting our county natural areas, and find them much less crowded than the parks. We had a wonderful time exploring High Ridge Scrub Natural Area.

Picnic Day - I guess it was another hike day as well, since there turned out to be almost six miles of sidewalks throughout Royal Palm Beach Commons Park. However, the main purpose of the day was to enjoy a picnic at the park. We did.

Birthday Party Day - Look at that cute 5 year old! We're so happy he's part of our family. He wanted a harmonic just like Grandpa. Maybe someday they'll be able to play a duet.

St Patrick's Day - As usual we celebrated with food - green hot cereal for breakfast, with Roasted Corned Beef and Irish Brown Bread for dinner.

Sunrise Day - There's not a lot of commentary, but there are more pictures on this blog post.

Another Beach Day - South Inlet Beach in Boca Raton

Non-Hike Day - The plan was to take long hike at Stormwater Treatment Area #2, but after only going 1/4 mile, Wayne came across a "No Trespassing" sign due to construction. He didn't see any work happening, but figured he'd be obedient anyway. At least it was a gorgeous day for a drive!

Activity Day - The branch had its first youth activity in over a year, held at a park in order to help with social distancing. They all seemed to enjoy playing games and eating hamburgers. I wonder what they'll select for their next activity!

Another Hike Day - On our first visit to Hungryland Slough Natural Area we hiked the outer loop trail. (We did the inner loop on our second visit.)
