Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area

 

Wayne's birthday present got to go on its first adventure today - to the Hungryland Wildlife and Environmental Area, which is near Hungryland Slough and the Corbett Wildlife Management Area, places we've already explored.

After checking out the main gate, and putting on our boots, we went to Gate #3 and headed east, expecting to hike between 6-8 miles.

The side trails that we were expecting to hike weren't marked, except for one, and it ended at a dirt road filled with water. We figured that was a good place to turn around and head back to the car. Maybe we'll come back during the dry season and do some more exploring.
