A Funeral Trip to Utah
Just before Thanksgiving we learned that Wayne's father had passed away. While not exactly unexpected, it was still a surprise because he had been doing so well since our last visit to Utah. We quickly made plans to attend the funeral, which since it was held after the holiday allowed us to keep our plans to spend Thanksgiving with my dad. Staying for a week also meant that in addition to the funeral and just spending time together at home, we could participate in a few other family activities.
One of the more important tasks after a funeral is going through "stuff" languishing in the basement. Mom and Dad actually did a pretty good job of getting rid of furniture and household goods, but there were a few boxes of papers, pictures, photo albums and yearbooks, etc. that need attention. Some will have to wait for our next visit, but we did make some progress. And here are some of the treasures I found.
There's a lot more to go through. Maybe some more of my finds will make it to this blog.
