Go Cougars!

I haven't been to a BYU football game since we graduated over 40 years ago; Wayne remembers being in the stadium when BYU beat #1 ranked Miami in 1990, but not since then. So, it was quite a treat to have the opportunity to attend last week's game against UCF with David and Evelyn (and Danny and Sierra). Even though it was super cold, it didn't rain or snow on us, which had been in the forecast, so that was nice. And, after a slow start, our team won! Hooray for reliving old memories and making some fun new ones.

Recently we learned that Grandpa Judge had his name engraved on a couple of stadium chairs, the ones he had reserved for him at each home game he attended. Apparently, Aunt Carol and her children had first dibs on those season tickets after his death. I thought it would be fun to try and find those seats, and maybe even find out who was using them this year. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough information to be successful, and it looks like if there ever was a name on the seats, it has long since faded. Someone told me all the seats were replaced twenty years ago anyway. It was still a fun treasure hunt!

We don't think the concession stands were prepared for a noon game (most of them seem to be in the evening), and they ran out of hot dogs! However, we were still able to get an iconic and delicious Cougar Tail to snack on during the game.
