NeverBored in September

We had plenty to do in September. It's been a year since Wayne's retirement, and fortunately we're still very happy spending all of our time together.

This month's fun exploration activities included watching a sunrise at the beach, Post #28 -

Practicing our golf swings at the driving range -

Dupuis Wildlife Management Area - We've done a few hikes at DuPuis as part of our "hiking" book fun (see here and here), but this month we started our exploration of this park as the next one on the SFWMD recreational area list.

We enjoyed a delightful little staycation at the Marriott on Singer Island -

This month's beach picnic was at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea on an absolutely gorgeous day -

We ended the month with another trip to the beach for a sunrise, Post #27 -

In addition to our exploring activities, we kept busy doing plenty of church-related things, including three more visits to the temple -

This month's tally - 12 endowments, 14 initiatories and 26 of our own sealing ordinances, plus helping others with their work as well.

A stake youth activity, a branch baptism, and the privilege of a priesthood ordination after stake conference -

This month's culinary activities included a few dinners out and some great dinners in, including Snapper Amandine -

Basilico's - They make great pizza! This time we ordered a couple of slices of Sicilian pizza with a side of meatballs. Then, when we got home, we combined the two.

BurgerFi - After splitting a "breakfast" burger, we each enjoyed a milkshake. For the record I prefer the ones we make at home; theirs are way too sweet and thin.

Finally, while we just did regular, normal chores at home, Wayne did spend one afternoon helping our son install a bathtub. It was great being able to leave the unfinished project at soemeone else's house!
