Luxury Staycation

We do live in paradise, and while we love the view from our own backyard, every so often we like to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the view from someone else's backyard. This time our little staycation was at the Marriott on Singer Island; the Atlantic Ocean is an absolutely gorgeous backyard!

The views inside of the building were nice as well. It's always a treat to be pampered and let someone else do the cleaning.

We woke up to another beautiful Florida sunrise!

And enjoyed some time on the beach before heading home.

Can't forget to record the delicious meals we ate at the 3800 Ocean restaurant on site! Dinner included a shrimp ceviche with mango salsa, the best-ever Ceasar Salad, lobster bisque, beef medallions, a deliciously tender salmon, and a unique S'mores dessert.

For breakfast, we tried Eggs Benedict, one traditional and one made with crab cakes. Can you figure out who ordered which one? Our lunch was predictable as well; Wayne had their burger and I enjoyed their fish sandwich. The food was great, but the view was fantastic. We love living in South Florida!
