Brad's Visit 2026
Sunday's FaceTime call with additional cousins
We enjoyed hosting Brad's family during Spring Break this year. For the most part we had delightful weather (Friday's beach day was a bit cloudy and windy but not miserable like in past visits) and we enjoyed returning to our favorite beaches in addition to trying some new activities.
- Golf Day
- Beach Day: Manatee Lagoon
- Beach Day: Ocean Reef Park
- Temple and Pool Day
- Beach Day: Loggerhead Beach
In addition to having fun outside of the house, we had a grand time at home. We watched a couple of old videos and played lots of games. We also had some fun meals. I think the kids' favorite was crepes on Sunday morning. We also enjoyed Chunky Monkey Pancakes and Hulk Muffins, although the kids preferred the Cinnamon Muffins, for breakfast, and can't for the Lucky Charms!
For our dinners we had Hawaiian Haystacks (a great meal for picky eaters to select only what they liked), homemade individual pizzas (with the same underlying hope), Hot Pockets (also a great hit with the kids) and an early Easter feast of roast lamb and potatoes with dairy-free and gluten-free side dishes. (Weston's perfected his dinner rolls!)
During the freeway drive to pick them up at the airport a rock hit our windshield and cracked it, and the back door of the van stopped opening, but those problems have been fixed now. We also eventually recovered from the 2:30 AM alarm to return them to the airport for their 6 AM flight home. Lots of fun memories! When will the next visit be????
