Loxahatchee Slough - The Fifth Visit
Look at the gorgeous day we had for our hike! As mentioned previously, this time on our visit to Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area, we traversed the Luckey Tract trails (blue, yellow and white-blazed) at the northern end of the park. (Next time will be a "dike hike" along the Bluegill Trail.) We followed our planned route going south along the western boundary road to the Pantano Trail along the canal, then north on the Central Trail to connect to the final section and back to our starting point. Even through the forested areas, these trails were dirt roads, so the hike wasn't difficult, and 6 1/2 miles was a good length for a nice morning hike.
