Beach Day - Fort Lauderdale South

Our Florida Beaches book rated this a 5 "sun" beach, and we agree. The north and central sections were nice, but because this section had restrooms and parking on the spot, we felt it was even better.

Your feet may get burned walking across the sand in the summer, but on this first day of spring, it wasn't too hot. It was a breezy day, but nice and sunny, and I loved that it wasn't humid at all.

Wayne took his walk and then his swim, but I stuck with just getting my feet wet. The water was still on the cool side.

Even though it's Spring Break, and there were plenty of people on the beach, it wasn't too crowded. The fact that we left early afternoon before the college students woke up might have helped.
