NeverBored in November

Let's just repeat last month's introduction with a single change: November 2021 was another memorable month, filled with activities to keep us busy, just the same as every other month! Some family, some church, some nature, some food, some service, some learning, and even some frustration. Fortunately, we enjoy our opportunity to be on earth at this time, and are grateful we get to share it with you. Here's the recap of memory making moments from this month.

Beach Day - Fort Lauderdale North

Sunrise at the Beach - Post #26

Sunset at the Beach - Stake Youth Activity

City Park - Wetlands Park in Royal Palm Beach

State Park - Atlantic Ridge Preserve near Stuart - Our first visit included periods of rain, slogging through marshes, and hiking over 10 miles, but we had a wonderful time exploring this new-to-us park.

Time with grandchildren - Early in the month, one set of grandsons spent a couple of days with us. We played lots of games, ate lots of food and even got some exercise.

Repair Time - Hopefully third time's the charm. Our refrigerator started "honking" at us as we filled our water glasses. When a new water filter, and a new inline water pump didn't make a difference, we replaced the water filter housing (see how it's done here). So far, so good.

Loaded Bean Dip, Enchiladas Suiza, Chicken Chimichangas and Banana Chimichangas

Wonton Egg Drop Soup and Vegetable Egg Foo Yung

Restaurant Time - One eat-in (La Fogata) and one take-out (China Dragon).

Time for new recipes - ordinary ones (tartar sauce, fish sticksvegetables, and brownies), not so ordinary ones (figs, more figs, and even more figs) and even holiday ones (treats and turkey).

Practice Time - At home and at the church. We need to keep developing our skills.

with our elders with President and Sister Pingree

Branch Service Time - Lots of phone calls, a fair amount of meetings, and the privilege of associating with wonderful people.

Temple Time
- Because it was closed for cleaning and again for Thanksgiving, we only made two trips this month, but we did make progress (8 endowments, 10 sealings, 12 initiatories), and we're grateful for that.

Thanksgiving Time - This year we were able to drive to Virginia and visit my parents. My sister graciously hosted both her annual neighborhood Thanksgiving breakfast, and our family Thanksgiving dinner. We helped my other sister with a couple of her projects, visited with some friends, and took our traditional hike. Read all about it here

We put up the trees and outdoor lights before leaving for Thanksgiving. That made it a November activity this year!

The holiday season has officially arrived! We hope you're enjoying a beatifully festive season, and we can promise you that we won't be bored in December! Merry Christmas!!
