Hike #97 - Florida Trail Okeechobee West - Day One

Hiking in December is a lot more pleasant than in August! We had a beautifully sunny day with a bit of a breeze for our official start of Hike #97 in the Hiking Florida book. This is also part of the Florida Trail - Segment 6 which goes around the west side of Lake Okeechobee. Today we hiked the portion from Clewiston to Uncle Joe's Fish Camp, for a total of 10.69 miles.
