Hugh Taylor Birch State Park - A Kayaking Visit

 

Look at this beautiful day! We love winter in Florida, especially after returning from a trip to the cold mountain west!

This time our activity was renting a double kayak. We actually made it a bit further down the lake than on our canoe trip; maybe the tides were different. We saw many turtles and a few birds, but really just enjoyed the beautiful day.

After our barbecue and boat watching, we did try checking out the portion of the trail that was underwater last time. There was still some water, but we were able to tiptoe around the puddles, so now all the trails here are completed. We'll be back to rent single kayaks sometime in the future.
