Four-Wheeling in Moab
Our son loves his new Bronco and was excited to take us exploring in Southern Utah, so we made arrangements to join him. Because one of the reasons for our trip west was Beckham's baptism, he got to accompany his dad for this great excursion while the rest of the family stayed home. It was a treat for us to spend time with this very quiet and reserved grandson.
I'm not much of an adventurer, so my caveat for our drives was that they needed to be something David had driven before. He kindly obliged, but there were still plenty of heart-stopping moments in store. This was a great experience in trust!
Day one we drove out to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park and ascended Elephant Hill, drove out to the Confluence Hike, considered taking the Joint Trail to return to the highway but that road was washed out, which meant we had to go back up SOB Hill. Obviously, we survived, and it really was a great adventure.
The next day we took Fins and Things just outside of Moab. Once again there were plenty of rocks to drive up and down and over and around. So grateful for my talented son who finds joy in the small things and loves to share them with others.
Yes, I was there, too!
