Clara's Special Day
Very few things could entice us to leave the beauty of Florida for a mid-winter trip to Utah, but a granddaughter's baptism is one of them. And even though it was cold, we're glad we were able to be there for this special event. We're glad others could share in her special day as well. And we're so grateful Clara is following in our Savior's footsteps.
This Utah stake holds all "child of record" baptisms on the third Saturday of the month, and each ward is assigned a time, and each child is assigned a different room. Depending upon the schedule for the font, sometimes the talks come before the actual baptism, and sometimes they're after. It's all quite organized!
Clara (with input from the adults in her life) put together a very nice program. Her two grandmothers spoke (find the stories I shared here) and she played her harp for the musical number. Aunts and uncles helped with the music and prayers, and her father gave a very nice confirmation blessing. We are so grateful for priesthood power and ordinances!
After pictures at the church, it was time to go home and celebrate with a house full of loved ones.
