Meeting a New Granddaughter

After saying good-bye to my mom, we got back in our car and drove to Texas to meet our newest grandchild. The circle of life continues. This little lady is already greatly loved and a joy to be around!

 

It's a fun tradition to make Monkey Bread when visiting our Texas grandchildren.

Miss S is becoming quite the baker herself. She experimented with turning regular chocolate chip cookies into shaped ones. What a fun idea! She also shared her sandwich creation with me and showed me she knows how to cook tortillas.

She also loves the Book of Mormon I sent to her for her fifth birthday and is actually reading and marking it. That certainly is gratifying!

Grandpa loves sharing treats! This time he bought ice cream bars.

While in town we also visited the Sixth Floor Museum, had our car repaired, and, of course, attended the baby blessing, since that was the main purpose for the trip!
