NeverBored in December

One of my greatest pandemic disappointments was having to cancel my trip to Utah for Theo's birth. The only thing that made it bearable was promising to come out for Michelle's second baby, and figuring I could be of more help then. So, while a December baby may not be the most convenient when it comes to calendar scheduling, we made it happen. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our Utah family, and Wilbur cooperated and finally arrived the day before I had to return home. [One post of that eventful trip is complete; you'll have to wait a bit longer for the others.]

Once home, it was time to get back to our normal activities.

We enjoyed our hike at Juno Dunes.

Preparing for Christmas!

Trying new recipes - Seafood VinaigretteVenison Ribs, Cuccidati, Pepparkakor (or Gingersnaps), and Mom's Christmas Caramels.

We kept our normal family Christmas traditions. Read about our 2021 celebration here.

The HOA cut down our mahogany trees and hauled them away. It didn't take any effort on our part, but because I serve on the board, I had a vested interest in seeing that it was done properly.

New Year's Eve we took a hike at DuPuis, stopped to deliver some holiday goodies to branch members, celebrated with dinner out (barely getting seated before they closed at 6 PM!), and worked on a puzzle to ring in the new year.

It was a marvelous month!
