Guadalupe - Hunter Peak

Our last hike on this trip was to Hunter Peak. We chose to ascend Bear Canyon - a difficult climb of 1800 feet in 1.8 miles, but we made it in our goal time of 2 hours - and descend on the Tejas Trail - which took 4 miles to get back to the valley floor.

In between the top of Bear Canyon and Hunter Peak we walked along a bit of the "Bowl Trail" which compared to the other sections was relatively flat. Once again, we had the trail to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and beautiful views, although on this windy day we did have to hold on to our hats at times.

We think this shows Devil's Hall.

That's the end!
