Visiting Utah - Part Three
After a delightful time in St. George, we returned to the Salt Lake area for a few more days before returning home. Along the way we visited with Wayne's cousin (no pictures!) and my brother. It's always good to catch up with family. More visits followed:
Lots of time with Dad - the main reason for extending our trip.
We happened to be in town for our grandsons' Primary program and that was a special treat. Wilbur's first response to his prompt was "I know Heavenly Father loves me because he killed all the dinosaurs." Fortunately, to help keep things reverent during the meeting, he was talked into his second response: "I know Heavenly Father loves me because he created animals." Theo shared that he can follow Jesus by sharing his toys. They have a large Primary - about 75 children - and they all did a wonderful job sharing their testimonies via words and music.
Sunday evening Julie graciously invited all the local family members to her house for a dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs and milkshakes. Earlier she had mentioned that ought to be the menu for the family dinner after Dad's funeral; Kevin said we should do it while he was still alive. So, we did! And Dad had a marvelous time, as did everyone else.
We were also able to take a tour of Welfare Square with David's family. You can read about that excursion here. It's been a wonderful trip, but we're ready to go home.
