Celebrating a Birthday
We actually kept this milestone birthday pretty low key, but he said he had a great day! The highlight was stumping him with a gift. Usually, Wayne knows exactly what he's receiving. This year, though, he opened this:
He was clueless as to what it was. Maybe it was supposed to be a stool of some sort?
Have you figured out what it is? Our kids guesses included a drying rack for eyeglasses that could double as a pizza stone stand or a plate riser to get food closer to your mouth, all of which were good ideas, but one was actually correct! It's a bottle drying rack.
We no longer deal with baby bottles, but we do like to recycle Coke bottles. They were prone to falling over with our previous method. After years of picking them up again and again, I finally realized I should check to see if someone else had solved the problem. They had!
We also had yummy food - Eggs Benedict, steak with mushrooms and asparagus, and Cherry Cheesecake. Because it was Sunday, we enjoyed church then visiting via phone/FaceTime calls with all of our children and parents. We're looking forward to spending another trip around the sun together!
