Sprinkler Project

See that sprinkler between the two palm trees? It stopped working when the HOA planted those trees a couple of years ago, so we figured they had broken the pipe, but it took us a while to investigate. That day finally arrived last week. We were right!

They did break the pipe - probably the crew that took out the old trees - but they also added a bubbler to the palm tree to end the line - probably the crew that put in the new trees - so there wasn't any leaking. That's the main reason it took so long for this chore to make it to the top of the list.

After getting that middle sprinkler head replaced, we decided to see if there was another one further along near our property line, so we did some more digging. There was but it wasn't connected to any water source. Due to lots and lots and lots of roots - both from the former and current trees - digging is hard work, but we did it and were able to attach a new sprinkler head to the line.

The final step is to add some sod, but now that the sprinklers are working, the new grass can get watered.
