Hugh Taylor Birch State Park - Another Kayaking Visit
Because of traveling out of state, we haven't done much exploring in South Florida recently, but we're home for a while now, and this week we went back to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. It was cloudy and humid with rain in the forecast, but we trusted that the weather would follow a typical summer pattern and we'd be finished with our barbecue before it started raining. Fortunately, that was the case.
After returning the kayaks, we found a picnic table on the Intracoastal and grilled some hamburgers. There weren't any yachts cruising the waterway, but we were entertained by a couple of jet skis and the water taxis - and our books!
We did see some wildlife! I hope he enjoyed his lunch, and I'm grateful it wasn't mine.
