Mother's Day Weekend

This year, just like every other year, we had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. That's easy when you have such a wonderful family to celebrate with you, even if it's from a distance.

We love our normal routine, and we kept to it for this special holiday weekend. Saturday starts with a trip to the temple, followed by trying out a new recipe for dinner - potato patties this time.

Sunday morning Wayne fixed a delicious breakfast and then we went to church where the talks and music were beautiful and inspirational. Afterwards we were able to speak to all our children, which is the highlight of not only Mother's Day, but every Sunday!

We added another piece of furniture to our family room in honor of the holiday. Now I have a proper place to put my pens and papers and snacks while watching tv. It's nice to have tangible reminders, but even without them, I'll remember this beautiful day. We hope all of the mothers in our lives felt loved and appreciated and continue to do so!
