Lake Ida East Park

If we'd realized how chilly the breeze would be, we would have brought jackets on our visit to Lake Ida East Park. Fortunately, it was nice and pleasant in the sun. This county park has a large pavilion, a few individual tables with grills, a playground and a fishing area. In addition, the Delray Beach Playhouse is located here, so we're looking forward to coming back and watching a show. There's also the ability, apparently, to launch kayaks because the lake comes right up to the grassy areas. We didn't see any kayaks, but we did find a family having fun with jet skis. We also noticed a group of school kids eating lunch and watched a neighboring group practicing meditation. The nearby freeway (although out of sight) was quite noisy; I would if they were able to tune it out. All in all, it was a beautiful way to spend a couple of hours.
