Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail - Day 10
Five miles is nothing after doing a few 12-13 mile days! Crossing Taylor Creek entails a road walk, and we decided we'd rather do that little bit by car, especially once we discovered there are no sidewalks and the path is blocked by locked gates. We parked at Nubbin Slough for this piece of the trail. After passing another designated campsite, a covered bench, a water control structure and some darling little cottages (across from MM 55), we made it to the end of the trail at Taylor Creek. We're getting closer to civilization; we actually saw some other people (bicyclists) on the way.
