Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail - Day 6

 

This is the day we took a road walk that is officially part of the Florida Trail - the bridge over the St. Lucie Canal at Port Myakka. We started at the LOST Trailhead and ended at the parking area on the north side of the canal. Although it wasn't a big day mileage-wise, there was a fair amount of backtracking to stay on actual roads, and actually crossing the bridge along with all the fast-moving traffic was a bit unnerving, but we did it!
