WOW 2024 - Day Four - Ideal Beach

After eating breakfast burritos for breakfast, we headed to Ideal Beach, on the south shore of Bear Lake. This is a private community, but our house rental included a couple of access passes. After dealing with the logistics of car shuttling and equipment hauling, we enjoyed relaxing for a while, even if the beach was a bit crowded and rocky.

Some of us enjoyed the pool, some the boats and floats, others enjoyed the floating trampoline - I even kayaked out to take some pictures - and everyone enjoyed the day in the sun, without even getting sunburned!

Grandpa even jumped off into the cold water. Do you think it wore him out?

Maybe we should have done a better job of coordinating meals, because we ended up with soft tacos (or a burrito bar) for dinner. However, that's an easy option for allowing for different tastes; each individual can create what they like. Assigning each meal to two families actually worked out well. Grandma and Grandpa took care of the first meal and the last, and everyone else had one breakfast, one lunch, and one dinner. There was plenty of food!

We finished the night with learning about Grandmother Judith Beckstrand and passing out BYU trinkets, compliments of Uncle David. Lots of fun and laughs!
