Temple Visits

Attending the temple is a twice-weekly event for us at this stage of our lives, but I never tire of our frequent visits, and wouldn't mind spending even more time in this holy place. Most of the time, it's just the two of us, but in the month of June we had a couple of extra special visits.

One Saturday morning our two grandsons and their dad joined us for a family baptism session. And another Saturday morning we were present when two dear friends received their own endowment. Just look at all the happy smiles!

Another day I got there earlier than necessary, so I took the time to walk around the temple grounds. These thorny trees that fascinated me during the open house are still there and are still quite intriguing. (Maybe it's a silk-floss tree; I'll have to check for flowers in the fall.)

I'm so grateful for the blessings the temple brings into our lives, and for the opportunity we have to help others find peace and happiness within its walls (and on its grounds). We love our beautiful Fort Lauderdale Temple!

Bonus picture: Our granddaughter had the opportunity to visit the temple and do baptisms in Oahu, Hawaii while on vacation this month! (And no picture, but our other granddaughter who's old enough to participate in this activity, also did so at her home temple.) We're so pleased that they're carrying on the family legacy.
