Visiting the Zoo

It's been ten years since we've visited the Palm Beach Zoo, so I don't imagine we're candidates for their annual pass, but we had a wonderful time exploring and were reminded that this is a nice little zoo, with lots of shade. Although humid, it wasn't rainy nor too hot, and we had a pleasant visit. (We were there from about ten to noon, which was about the same time that various school groups were. However, they were all well-behaved, didn't overrun the place, and we made it home for naptime!)

I didn't take as many pictures as last time, but we did recreate one of them.

Someone hasn't changed much in ten years! (Although she might disagree.)

We saw flamingos and other birds and reptiles, plus a few mammals. The monkeys were the most fun to watch, and I was disappointed not to see any anteaters. Fortunately, the bears were sleeping, so someone didn't have to worry about them being too loud!

We kept looking for a real-live zebra, but this metal sculpture was the closest we came to finding one!

Because this wasn't our first visit, we knew to be prepared for the splash pad when we were done looking at animals. (You should also be aware that the "hurricane simulator" and the carousel, along with various other "experiences" are available, but at an extra cost.)

Do you think we'll be back before 2033? Stay tuned to find out!
