Beach Day #1

Vacation day #1 was spent recuperating from the red-eye travel, but bright and early (or as early as can be when you're dealing with pre-schoolers) the next morning we were off to the beach. It was a gorgeous day!

No water, or even bubbles, for this little man, but hunting for seashells is fun, too. And so is building a sandcastle.

It was a delightful day, but the boys weren't interested in playing in the water, the rain clouds were gathering, and we were getting hungry. So, we left Juno Beach and headed to Loggerhead Park where we knew (see here) there were covered picnic pavilions.

The boys wanted to know where the trail next to the playground led, so we followed it - to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center - where we spent some time admiring the turtles and other fish.

After our time there, we decided to go through the tunnel (with a deep puddle in the middle!) to say good-bye to the ocean. Look at the beautiful day we had, with even more beautiful company.
