Hamlin House
The next location on the city park list isn't really a park, but we decided to drive over and check it out ourselves anyway. We lucked out, and an employee was around to let us in. It's an old house turned into a community center that can be rented for personal functions. It looks like they gutted the interior, making one large room with a small kitchen in the back (refrigerator, sink and microwave, but no stove or oven), two restrooms and an office for park personnel. There seemed to be plenty of folding tables and chairs, and even a screened in back porch. The price to rent seems reasonable (see here), but we'll probably never use it. Would you?
