Lantana Scrub Natural Area

The county's website for this natural area stated there was no parking, and it didn't mention any trails either, so we figured it was going to be a "drive-by only" excursion. Google maps showed that it was near a ball park, so we headed there to see if there were any openings in the fence. It was hidden, but we found one. And the sign there showed a 1/2 mile trail and mentioned a few parking spots near a health center.

After driving to the other gate, we hiked the little trail, and then walked the perimeter of this 33-acre plot. It was warm and muggy, but we enjoyed our little adventure.

This was kind of a noisy hike, but not because of traffic. There was a thunderstorm moving in nearby. Fortunately, we made it back to the car before the rain arrived!
