Babcock State Park Campground

New River Gorge National Park doesn't have any established campgrounds that can be reserved in advance (just some primitive, first-come-first-served campgrounds with no water or facilities), so we decided to camp at an adjacent state park. We've found that the campgrounds at state parks are usually quite nice, and this one at Babock State Park in West Virginia is no exception. It was nicely maintained and we had a great stay.

We love the space in our new tent! Fortunately, it didn't take too long to set up either. There were a couple of days of rain during our stay, but the interior didn't get wet, and we had a day to dry out the exterior before having to pack up the gear. (Our screen tent did leak, but it's no longer brand new, so that's to be expected.)

We didn't really explore Babcock State Park at all, but it does look like a beautiful place. Maybe we'll come back some day.
