Acadia - Schoodic Peninsula

We decided Sunday would be a good day to explore the Schoodic Peninsula, since it involved a fair amount of driving, and no real hiking. This area was much less crowded, so head there if you want to avoid masses of peoples.

We started with checking out the fairly new visitors center, which is near the also fairly new campground. They're prepared for summer crowds! Then we headed down the one-way road around the peninsula, taking the time to stop at the pullouts wherever we felt like it.

We spent a wonderful morning admiring the coast; I could have stayed watching the waves for much longer. However, there was more to see. After leaving the Schoodic area, we stopped at the picnic area near the "winter" visitors center to eat our lunch, before heading back onto Desert Island.
