July's Staycation

We've never stayed at a bed and breakfast inn before, so this was a new experience. It was interesting and we had a great time. However, we discovered we prefer the anonymity of large hotels when we're on vacation. Isn't it nice we're all different?

After settling in and exploring the quaint surroundings, we walked over the drawbridge to the beach to have dinner, passing the Snook Island Natural Area on the way. We're looking forward to coming back to explore that more thoroughly someday.

The next morning after a delightful little breakfast - you don't get fancy china dishes in a hotel's eating area! - we drove home to continue relaxing at home. And to have birthday steak leftovers for dinner.
