Bermuda Cruise - Fort Hamilton

Fort Hamilton, in Hamilton, Bermuda, is a delightful place to explore, and explore we did, to our hearts content. It was a bit drizzly, but that just meant we had the place mostly to ourselves.

First we figured out how to get to the moat area. This deep trough encircled the fort proper, and was filled with lush jungle growth.

Then we discovered an opening and went to see where it led. More tunnels and dead ends, with plenty of openings to stick a rifle through.

Aboveground were more hills and dikes and storage rooms and even some gardens, along with a few cannons and an excellent view of the harbor and city itself.

What a delightful way to spend an hour or two!
