Kayaking

The pandemic postponed our Christmas gift activity of kayaking for a couple of years, but it finally happened, and it was worth the wait. We met Weston's family at John MacArthur Beach State Park, rented a few kayaks, and headed out on the water. Sam was my paddle partner and we had a great time together.

After exploring the "pond" area we went under the bridge to the Intracoastal and checked out a couple of little mini mangrove islands. The wind kicked up so our return trip took some concentrated effort (and meant the camera didn't come out of the pack), but we made it back to shore, and then enjoyed a yummy lunch together (at a place that served breakfast in the afternoon as well).
