David's Visit - Beach Day

 

In between "Pool Day" and "Beach Day," David's family enjoyed exploring Legoland and St. Augustine, while we worked on our regular chores at home. 

Guess who had more fun? That's okay; we get plenty of opportunities to take vacations ourselves.

We've been to Loggerhead Beach before, but even so there's always something to make each visit unique and memorable. This time we noticed quite a few fishing boats near to shore, and realized they were following a school of fish heading south. Even more interesting was seeing some pelicans and sharks alongside the fish as well. If you look closely, maybe you can see the fish in the picture below.

Soon after eating our picnic lunch, we realized that even though there wasn't rain in the forecast, the dark clouds heading our direction seemed to suggest the forecast was wrong. So, we packed up and headed to the car. We almost made it before the downpour hit!

Activity #2 for the day was visiting the Wildlife Sanctuary, so after waiting a bit for the rain to let up, off we went with the local cousins.

We were quite impressed with the facility and wouldn't mind visiting again someday. Who wants to come with us?
