Dallin's Special Day

Main event #2 on our vacation was Dallin's baptism. It was an awesome day and we're so glad we were able to be a part of it.

There's just a bit of noise and chaos when you get a bunch of cousins, and second cousins, together, but it's also so much fun to observe these growing relationships.

This year I was not asked to give a talk, but I was asked to accompany Evelyn as she played the violin. Wayne gave the "baptism" talk, and was inspired to share Misti's story.

After pictures at the church, including an updated 4-generation WOW photo, we headed back to the house for a delicious lunch and more visiting.

Later in the afternoon, we continued the special celebration by watching a live production of Sound of Music at the Hale Center Theater. The Julie Andrew's movie version is one of Wayne's favorite movies, and it was fun to see what was the same and what was different in this rendition. I loved that it had all the same music, but not necessarily in the same order. That kept it interesting.

Thank you for letting us share your special day with you! We love the many memories we created, and we hope you followed your bishop's counsel to write about them in your journal so that you can remember this day forever, too.
