Brooke's Christmas Gift

Brooke requested a "new skirt from Grandma" for her Christmas gift this year. And since they were going to be visiting over New Year's, I decided that having her pick the fabric would be a wise choice. We had a great time at the fabric store, and when she had trouble deciding between blue cotton and pink knit fabric, I decided we could do both.

At home she helped with the cutting and sewing, and in no time at all (although longer than she wanted due to fitting it around other fun activities) she had two new, very comfortable and modest, skirts. It's always nice when you can help grant a wish.

P.S. Grandpa also helped her with another Christmas present project - a cross-stitch wall-hanging. Doesn't it look great?
