House and Holiday Plan – Week Fourteen – Storage Areas

Here’s what’s on the To-Do List for this week:

• Declutter, clean, and organize the attic, garage, shed, and/or storage closet.

• Inventory Christmas decorations and storage containers.

• Continue holiday decorating.

• Shop Cyber-Monday specials.

• Order the Christmas ham or roast.

• Finish gift shopping.

• Wrap presents as they are purchased or completed.

• Mail domestic packages.

• Send Christmas cards.

• Begin family Advent traditions and celebrations.

Time to decorate!

Although I get the reasoning behind cleaning out and organizing the garage, attic or shed while pulling down boxes of Christmas decorations, those are just huge jobs that I’m not going to tackle in December, particularly since we no longer keep our holiday decorations in the attic, but in our bedroom closets. I’ll save those dirty, time-consuming chores to tackle during a spring cleaning spree.

So, this will be a fun week to start decorating while enjoying the last few days with our Thanksgiving guests. Then it’s time to craft a little yearly newsletter and work on sending out Christmas cards.
