HHP - Week Two

House and Holiday Plan – Week Two – can be found here. Some of my craft supplies were covered in week one as part of the computer room, so this week I focused on the room with the sewing machine.

That meant I also updated my “unfinished craft project” list. Surprisingly, I even discovered a few finished projects ready to give away. I already have a running shopping list, but it’s time to start the actual Christmas list. I could create it here, but I don’t want to ruin any surprises!

Well, that’s what I wrote in 2016 (but never posted), and it’s nice to know that the sewing room is still in decent shape three years later. Here are the tasks for this week – Calendar and Creativity Week:

• Declutter and clean sewing/crafts room

• Assess craft supplies

• Inventory unfinished craft projects

• Create a holiday calendar

• Plan holiday travel

• Start a set of tear files (or Pinterest board – mine is here) with gift, decorating, and special food and craft ideas

• Make a shopping list

• Begin a “Gifts to Make” list

Instead of traveling for Christmas, our family usually travels for Thanksgiving, so this is a good week to make our hotel reservation (since I’m not quite as on-the-ball as our daughter-in-law who made hers a month ago). Done!

I don’t always succeed, but every year my goal is to take our Christmas gifts to my parents with us in November. Avoiding extra postage is great motivation. And since I like to make their gifts, I better get started!

In addition to some other craft supplies, I have a pile of yarn and a bunch of beads. What should I make?
