Gulfstream Park

It was supposed to be a rainy day, so we woke up figuring we’d have to come up with a Plan B for Saturday’s activity. However, after breakfast we checked the weather once again and decided if we hurried, we could fit in a barbecue lunch before the rain started. And we were right!

Wayne suggested we bring our bucket of towels, and that was a very wise idea, because the picnic table was wet from the rainy night. It was also very, very humid, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our little excursion.

I knew these trees were called Sea Grapes, but this is the first time I’ve actually seen “grapes” on them. They’re aptly named!

Gulfstream Park is a county park with several picnic tables (no pavilions), a playground, and beach access.

It’s a beautiful spot.

We didn’t go out in the water this time, but it just so happens that Gulfstream is next on our beach list. We’ll be back again in a few weeks.

And we’ll return in a few years to watch a sunrise here as well!
