Lumberjack Wayne

We have a friend who wanted to remove some dead and dying trees close to some power lines on his property, and he asked Wayne to help. Wayne was happy to do so. Matt also had a neighbor helping, one with a forklift and a tractor which really helped make the job go smoothly. Matt tied a rope halfway up the tree and then to the tractor, Wayne cut the notch and then the felling cut, and Sean drove the tractor to help pull the tree down. Cooperation is a wonderful thing!

After chopping down a few of the trees himself, Wayne coached Matt into cutting down the final ones himself. He did a great job!

It was a gorgeous day for doing some yard work, and we accomplished our objective. We'll let Matt take care of finishing the chopping, hauling and stump removing, but he's fine with that.
