Jonathan Dickinson Park - A February Visit

I'm not sure how many hikes we've done in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, but it's been a few. However, there are still many more to go, including several in the "Eagles View" area. For the first one here, we did the red loop.

Just wanted to point at that February is a wonderful month to go hiking in Florida. Look at that beautiful sky!

This hike started on "power line" road, near the horse corral. As you can see, it's aptly named, although it's not really a road meant for passenger cars, but horse-drawn wagons and maintenance vehicles.

We walked through pine and palmetto scrublands.

Maybe you can see the numbers in this picture, but it's mainly to help me put pictures with specific places.

Here are all the post markers!

After the hike, we drove over to our favorite picnic spot and enjoyed a delicious barbecue.

Before leaving for home, I took my usual walk over to the river, just to make sure it was still there. It was!!
