Jonathan Dickinson Park - A January Visit

The original plan for this visit to Jonathan Dickinson State Park was to take a hike. However, once we arrived it was quite obvious that the trail would be underwater, so we went with Plan B, which was to watch a movie at the visitor's center and then take the auto tour. Plan B then became Plan C when we discovered there was a live ranger's demonstration taking place in the auditorium, preventing us from seeing the movie. Instead, we learned about "Bones, Skulls, and Skins" before picking up the auto tour map.

Then we were off to explore the park in our car.

The first stop, the parking lot, wasn't too exciting, although it was nice to remember the hike we took starting from that location, but we spent quite a bit of time at the Hobe Mountain Tower, the second stop.

We continued on our way, getting out a few times to look at things more closely.
