Road Trip 2016 - Utah (Arches National Park)

Hiking to Delicate Arch has been on Michelle's bucket list for a while, so when we realized Arches National Park was only 30 minutes off of I-70, we decided it was time to cross that off her list. We left Rifle, Colorado at 6:30 AM and arrived at the park entrance around 9:00 AM.

Fortunately there were still a couple of parking spaces available at Wolfe Ranch and we were on the trail before 10:00 AM. Even then it was plenty warm, but it was still way below the 111 degree level we had on our original family vacation to Arches. That was a nice blessing.

Look at this line of hikers! We passed at least one youth conference group, one girls' camp group, and a family reunion group, in addition to ordinary small groups of friends and families.

We made it, and so did many other people!

Michelle stood in line so she could have the obligatory "pose under the arch" picture, but then she also took some pictures from that vantage point.

We discovered that photographing the arch from the back-side made a nice picture as well.

I was there, too!
