Miami Beach - Art Deco District

Rather than having a "flashback" post, I'm just back-dating this one. Here are the pictures from our "city hike" in Miami Beach over the 2014 Christmas holiday. You can read more about our feelings from this activity, along with our experiences when we somewhat repeated it in 2018, over here.

Ready to go!

The Welcome Center
As I recall, we followed the yellow path, starting at the bottom, and doing side trips to catch all the numbered buildings. Then we headed north and walked along Collins Canal, and probably even further!

Taking pictures!

City Buildings

Definitely not your average grocery store - #66 on the map

More variety - the Firestone building is #40 on the map

Letting someone else be the photographer

Not an ordinary gelato shop either

Exploring a newer section of town - the Lincoln Center is #51 on the map

Last stop - the Halocaust Memorial - #64

Ready to head home
Had to walk by the beach again on the way to the car.

It was a beautiful day.
