Jonathan Dickinson Park - The Blue Trail

Here are the pictures from the "blue trail" which we hiked on Saturday. As you can tell, it was an absolutely gorgeous day to walk just over 5 miles in this beautiful state park.

When deciding which direction to take this loop, we chose to go the opposite direction on the piece of  the "yellow trail" we had done the day before. That meant that after following sign posts #1, 2 and 3 in order, and heading to #8, we then went clockwise to #7, 6 and 9, before returning to #8 and retracing our steps back to the parking area.

Here's a sampling of what we saw near each marker.

Giant ruts that would be filled with water during the rainy season.

Isn't that a beautiful cypress tree?

Look at the variety of pretty flowers along the trail.

The pine cones may not be as pretty as the flowers, but they were all over the place as well.

The End!
