Flashback Friday - July Wedding

I thought that once school started that I wouldn't feel like I was jumping from one major project to another. I thought wrong. However, I'm hoping today to make at least a little progress in updating this with some of our summer activities. The last post was on meeting Wyatt. After he got his share of hugs and kisses we were off to Idaho to meet Cody's family. What a treat that was! But, sadly, we didn't take any pictures. All I have is this one of Brad and Cody, taken after dinner with just the parents. We've decided that's a wonderful tradition!

The wedding day itself was gorgeous. What else is there to say? Thanks to some major help from our dear friend and her daughter (whom we hadn't seen in ten years!), the wedding luncheon turned out beautifully. Friends are great. Here are three of Cody's special friends. They all entered the MTC together and served in the same mission in Brazil. It was a treat to get to meet them. And one of them was Megan's roommate for a while! (Or something like that - just another small world thing.) Jeff felt badly about missing the festivities, so he sent us an SD card full of pictures from his mission to share with Brad and Cody. It was great having a little bit of his personality around. The reception turned out wonderfully as well. The weather cooperated. The photographer was excellent. The food was great. Everyone was friendly and happy. Clean up didn't take too long. And we even got a little bit of excitement when the pony decided to run for home with an empty cart! One of the treats of the weekend was the opportunity to say hi to all of my mother's brothers and sisters. They came to Idaho from Virginia, Oregon, Washington, and Utah, so you can imagine they don't get together very often. As we were leaving church to go home (or at least back to Utah!), one by one they gathered in the parking lot, and I finally got a picture of them all together. So, here are Judi, David, Kathy, Brian, Cheri, Kirk and Misti (with the spouses - Shelley, Charlene, Debbie & Bob - that were there as well). Your puzzle for the day is to figure out who's who! We liked Idaho and thoroughly enjoyed our quick visit there, but there were still a lot of things on our vacation agenda, so stay tuned!
