Christmas is Coming #6

Christmas Eve 1988 - "The stockings were laid on the table with care, in hopes that Saint Nicolas soon would be there." And so were the cookies and milk. This is what we got when trying to take a picture of all three boys, so I guess the next morning we didn't even try!

Christmas morning - Only Weston made it into the picture, but so did the empty milk glass, and our first "real" tree!

The story for this year involves that yellow and red dump truck hiding behind the boys. That was David's and Santa left it for him the year before. He LOVED playing with it and totally wore it out. He was positive it could be replaced with a new one, so he left a note for Santa in the old one. Fortunately for us all, Santa was able to take care of his request!

David came home and reminded me that I was a little incorrect in my details on the dump truck story. He received the first plastic truck for his birthday on Dec 10th, and immediately used it so much that it broke in the two weeks before Christmas. He was confident that Santa could remedy that situation, so he left the note. Santa did leave a new (repaired or replaced, who knows?) plastic dump truck, but he also left an "indestructible" Tonka dump truck as well!
